The Point Sur Light station is located about 19 miles South of Carmel on Hwy 1. It's a really great tour of a lighthouse that began working before Hwy 1 was even built but for this event you won't be going during the day this is a fundraiser to help restore the lighthouse. This is the Ghost tour. So if you like things that go bump in the night or to get a little scared then this might just be the ticket for you. If your favorite part of camping when you were a kid was sitting in the tent with your cousins telling ghost stories then this event is for you. This event will be October 20 and 27th at 5:15 PM just in time for the sunset views as it drops into the ocean. There will be a small buffet and ghost stories in the barn. The visitors center is serving drinks and dessert. Act quickly this event sells out fast and they only have a limited number of guest for each ghost tour.
Getting There
If you have never been before make sure you print out directions I know that's old fashioned but your phone doesn't have service in many parts of Big Sur but if you have printed directions or a GPS then you will be okay. This is truly a fun event and it raises money for a very good cause. I hope to see everyone out there because I definitely don't want to take a ghost tour by myself.
